Man slashed during fight after boat cruise

A man was slashed during a fight after a boat cruise in Toronto early Saturday morning.

Police said as one group was getting off the boat, near Lake Shore Boulevard East and Parliament Street, an argument broke out with another group already on land.

A 21-year-old man was cut in the neck, and paramedics took him to hospital. He is expected to survive.

Just before 1 a.m., another man was slashed in the head on McCowan Road, north of Eglinton Avenue East in Scarborough.

He called 911 himself, but wouldn’t tell police what happened. Officers said his injuries are not life-threatening.

No suspect information has been released.
