Child in hospital after near drowning in Burlington

A six-year-old child is in hospital after being pulled from a swimming pool unconscious in Burlington.
Emergency crews were called to the scene on Hereford Crescent around 5 p.m. Saturday.
Police say adults at the home were able to resuscitate the child, who was then taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.
An investigation is being conducted into the incident but police say it appears to have been an accident.
