Severe thunderstorm watch for parts of GTA, cottage country

Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of the GTA and cottage country.
The watch includes Caledon, Barrie, Newmarket, and northern York and Durham regions.
It also extends to Haliburton, Bancroft, and the Peterborough areas.
Storms and heavy rain may occur in the early afternoon to late evening in those regions.
The watch covers the following areas:
- Caledon
- Newmarket – Georgina – northern York region
- Uxbridge – Beaverton – northern Durham region
- Stratford – Mitchell – southern Perth County
- Listowel – Milverton – northern Perth County
- Waterloo – Wellington
- Dufferin – Innisfil
- Barrie – Orillia – Midland
- Peterborough – Kawartha Lakes
- Stirling – Tweed – South Frontenac
- Bancroft – Bon Echo Park
- Haliburton – Minden – southern Haliburton County
