Toronto eliminates indoor pool fees as of Canada Day

Torontonians looking to cool off this summer with a dip at one of the city’s indoor pools will soon be able to do so without opening their wallets.

The city has decided to eliminate the fees for indoor leisure swimming as of July 1.

The cost had been $1 for children and youths, $2 for adults, and $6 for a family pass.

For those who had purchased indoor leisure swim passes, the City of Toronto says they will issue pro-rated credits to customers’ accounts after June 30.

Fees will still be charged for lane swimming.
