Recent south Etobicoke break-ins may be linked to past incidents: police

Toronto police fear a serial sex offender may be back targeting a south Etobicoke neighbourhood after a pair of recent break-ins in the area.

Police now believe the man responsible for two recent break-ins in the Royal York Road and Queensway area is the same man that has been targeting this area over the past three summers.

The suspect typically enters homes late at night through unlocked windows and doors, and sexually assaults women in some incidents.

He appears to be active from June to September, and is responsible for at least 20 break-ins and sexual assaults so far.

Police are especially concerned because some of the female victims sexually assaulted are seniors. One of the victims is 91 years old.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416-808-4200, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477), online at www.222tips.com, text TOR and your message to CRIMES (274637).
