Ontario election: where to get live coverage & results

As Ontario votes for a new government on Thursday, live results and analysis will be available in a number of ways from CityNews and our media partners.

CityNews.ca will provide a map that is updated minute-by-minute with results by riding. The results are will start flowing in at 9 p.m.

On the sites you’ll find coverage of the winner and losers, the scandals, platforms, reaction and voter turnout.

A live blog will be running all night that will include tweets from our reporters in the field; behind-the-scenes commentary and reaction.

We’ll play close attention to the highlights in the 416 and the 905, with information on close votes and key ridings.

You’ll be able to see raw video of each leader’s speech – victory or otherwise.

We will have five live streams going all night: gauging reaction across Toronto; CityNews’ election special a camera with Liberal Leader Kathleen Wynne; one with PC Leader Tim Hudak; and one with NDP Leader Andrea Horwath.

We’ll also be posting other video highlights all night.

CityNews will dedicate the 11 p.m. newscast to the election, with reporters broadcasting live from each leader’s headquarters.

On Rogers TV (cable 10 and 63 in Toronto and Scarborough, respectively), live coverage starts at 9 p.m. with journalist Dale Goldhawk hosting the show, joined in studio by a panel of political pundits including Marcel Wieder, Sheila White and John Mykytyshyn. Local results will focus on Toronto, North York, Scarborough and Etobicoke ridings.

The party leaders’ speeches will also be broadcast on Rogers TV and CityNews once the winner is declared.

Rogers is the parent owner of this website.
