A child has been rushed to hospital in serious condition after a near drowning in the Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West area.
Emergency crews were called to a home on Strathearn Road around 5 p.m. Saturday.
Police say the five-year-old boy was pulled from a backyard pool.
A birthday pool party was taking place at the time of the incident.
“It was a child’s birthday party. This boy here was a guest,” said Const. Wendy Drummond.
Paramedics says CPR was performed on the child and he was breathing and alert as he was taken to hospital.
