The Toronto Blue Jays are on a nine-game winning streak. Can the team keep winning? Toronto Blue Jays Radio play-by-play broadcaster Mike Wilner joined readers in a live chat. See the transcript below.
Hey Mike, Seems so distant since Maicer Izturis was part of the 2014 mix and his dugout steps mishap brought his bat & season to a halt. I’m really liking the core team on the field and hope they remain healthy. Any update on Maicer’s situation and do you think he’ll reappear on the 25-man roster in 2014? Thanks Mike and keep up the fantastic game calling! p.s. the taking the parrot for a walk line is hilarious.
Mike, Do you like your meat rare, medium or well-done? What type of sausages and burgers do your prefer? I bet, you would do well as a food critic than a sports journalist. (serious)
Mike, are you aware that your recent article on projecting the rest of the Jays season is quite possibly the biggest abomination of a sports piece that has ever been written in the history of sports journalism?
Why don’t the jays go after a second-tier starter at the deadline, someone in the mold of a Doug Fister. He made a big impact in Detroit a few years ago after being dealt at the deadline. That way we don’t have to give up too many premium prospects.
