Toronto police warn public after sex offender released

Toronto police are warning the public about the release of a convicted sex offender.

47-year-old William Shorten was charged last March with committing an indecent act after he exposed himself at a midtown Indigo bookstore.

Police warn that William Shorten still poses a threat. He’s under a court order to stay away from anywhere where children are present.

Anyone with information that he is breaching his conditions is asked to contact police at 9-1-1.
