Ford’s Escalade spotted on Muskoka dirt road day before impounded

CityNews has obtained photos of Rob Ford’s Escalade abandoned on a dirt road about a kilometre from the GreeneStone Residential Addiction Treatment Centre in Bala, where he is reportedly undergoing treatment.

The vehicle had its licence plates on when the photos were taken early Monday morning.

The plates were off of the vehicle when it was impounded the next day, after a woman was charged with impaired driving, allegedly behind the wheel of the SUV. It is not clear who removed the plates but the OPP denied taking them off.

Lee Anne McRobb, 36, of Muskoka Lakes Township was driving the SUV when she was stopped on Tuesday by police at Muskoka District Road 169 at Butterfly Road, which is a few minutes away from GreeneStone.

She’s been charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood-alcohol level over 80 milligrams.

When questioned by reporters, McRobb admitted she was previously in rehab with Ford, but was no longer in treatment. She said the mayor was doing “top notch” at GreeneStone.

She wouldn’t reveal why she was driving his SUV.
