Rob Ford’s security guard transferred out of city hall: report

Security guard Mike Toolaram is no longer the guardian of the mayor’s office at Toronto City Hall.
The Toronto Star reported on Tuesday that the oft-photographed guard, known to reporters covering Ford as pushy and at times combative, has been re-assigned to a different government building.
No specific reason was given for the removal.
Several journalists have complained about what was perceived as the guard’s aggressive ways while trying to shield the mayor from questioning.
A video shot by CBC and City showing Toolaram pushing past reporters at city hall in November 2013 led to complaints that the contact wasn’t justified.
