Supreme Court rules Senate reform can’t happen without provincial input

In an unanimous ruling, Canada’s top judges say Prime Minister Stephen Harper’s proposed reforms to the Upper Chamber cannot happen without provincial support. Outright abolition would require all 10 provinces to agree on it first.
