About 800,000 rechargeable baby monitor batteries are being recalled because they could pose a burning hazard.
Summer Infant announced the recall on Thursday. In 2011, about 58,000 of the batteries, which are manufactured in China, were recalled.
The Rhode Island-based manufacturer says there have been 22 reports of overheated and ruptured batteries. In some cases, smoke and minor property damage occurred.
