TORONTO – Some of the most active companies traded Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the TSX Venture Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (14,257.69 down 50.31 points):

Osisko Mining Corp. (TSX:OSK). Miner. Down four cents, or 0.53 per cent, to $7.54 on 14.2 million shares.

Fortis Inc. (TSX:FTS.IR). Utilities. Down nine cents, or 0.25 per cent, to $35.60 on 6.1 million shares.

Twin Butte Energy Ltd. (TSX:TBE). Oil and gas. Up five cents, or 2.15 per cent, to $2.38 on 5.2 million shares.

Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Insurance. Down 15 cents, or 0.74 per cent, to $20.14 on 4.9 million shares.

B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Down eight cents, or 2.58 per cent, to $3.02 on 4.2 million shares.

Carpathian Gold Inc. (TSX:CPN). Miner. Unchanged at 3.5 cents on 3.8 million shares.

Toronto Venture Exchange (997.77 up 4.08 points):

Rokmaster Resources Corp. (TSXV:RKR). Miner. Up 0.5 cents, or four per cent, to 13 cents on 5.3 million shares.

Supreme Pharmaceuticals Inc. (TSXV:SL). Biotechnology. Up 0.5 cents, or 7.14 per cent, to 7.5 cents on 4.6 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

Rogers Communications Inc. (TSX:RCI.B). Communication services. Down 16 cents, or 0.36 per cent, to $44.80 on 596,114 shares. Rogers has joined a growing number of Canadian companies who want to help shoppers pay with their smartphones at the cash register. For now, the app can only be used in limited ways, but the telecommunications giant says the Suretap virtual wallet is a step towards offering a wider selection of mobile payment options.
