5 things to do this weekend: Bridal show, pink party and relive prom

Toronto’s Bridal Show: Spring is in the air and that means it’s almost prime wedding season. Over 150 unique exhibitors will be on hand to keep soon-to-be brides and grooms busy before the big day. Spring Made by Hand Show: Over 150 Canadian artists, artisans and designers will congregate at this sprawling showcase of homegrown talent. The one-stop family shopping experience will also feature free face-painting, door prizes, and raffles. The International Centre, Entrance 3, 6900 Airport Rd., Mississauga. The Pink Party: Major league talent like the Sheepdogs and Naughty by Nature will be performing at this volunteer-driven event in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation of Ontario. A Calvin Klein underwear fashion show is sure to excite, and over 40 items will be up for grabs in a silent auction. Castlefield Event Theatre, 2492 Yonge St. Friday. Relive Prom: Wish you could step back in time and do your prom all over again? Well, here’s your chance. Dance under the venue’s disco ball to 10-piece Motown band “The Intentions.” A dress code calling for your best 50s to 90s prom attire will be in effect, with prizes to the best dressed. Beginner’s Axe Throwing Tournament: The Backyard Axe Throwing League (BATL) is giving rookies the chance to taste the thrill of competition in this emerging sport.
