Mayor Ford bobbleheads on sale again at city hall

The latest batch of Robbie bobbies are for sale at Toronto City Hall starting next week.

There are four versions of bobbleheads for sale starting April 17, including a limited edition of the mayor wearing a football tie. Only 500 are available at $100 a doll and part of the proceeds from that one go toward Ford’s mayoral campaign.

Another one of Ford wearing the chain of office around his neck is selling for $30 a piece and proceeds will go towards the Humber River Hospital, Doug Ford said. Two other versions, “Hollywood Rob” of the mayor in a tux, as well as “Jimmy Kimmel Rob” wearing the red tie and suit will be available on Monday.

“I love the one with the tuxedo,” the mayor’s brother said.

The bobbleheads became a much-sought after souvenir when they were first sold at $20 a piece last November amid Ford’s crack cocaine scandal. Hundreds waited for hours to get their bobbleheads autographed and the lineups snaked around the rotunda at city hall.

But some tried to cash in by listing them online on eBay, Kijiji and Craigslist for upwards of $1,200.
