The team at 680News has been honoured by the Association of Electronic Journalists.

We took home three central regional RTDNA awards at the ceremony Saturday afternoon.

680News won the Byron MacGregor Award for best newscast in a large market for our ice storm coverage, the Charlie Edwards Award for spot news for a piece on the summer floods, and the Ron Laidlaw Award for continuing coverage for our Mayor Rob Ford stories.

These pieces will now be considered for the national RTDNA awards, which will be announced on June 7 at the national RTDNA conference in Toronto.
