Doug & Rob Ford release new Ford Nation YouTube video

Mayor Rob Ford and his brother, Coun. Doug Ford, have released a new video on their Ford Nation YouTube channel, claiming the Jamaican community loves Rob Ford.

Earlier this year, a video taken at Etobicoke’s Steak Queen restaurant showed Ford giving a rambling, profane rant using Jamaican patois. Jimmy Kimmel later forced Ford to watch the video during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on March 3.

In the Ford Nation video, Doug tells Rob he has a fan letter from Jamaica. The mayor responds, “yeah mon.”

“I’m a Jamaican and I just watched the Jimmy Kimmel show,” Doug reads.

“I wanted to write to you to say I think he was too hard on you. A lot of his comments were just mean. I just wanted you to know Jamaica loves you. We need mayors and ministers like you down here,” Doug adds.

Doug then asked his brother if he was going to Jamaica.

“Yeah mon. Me I’m going to Jamaica mon,” Rob says, before Doug cuts him off, saying “Ok, Ok.”

“Ford Nation spreads far and wide,” Doug said, saying his brother had received letters of support from Nova Scotia and British Columbia.

Doug and Rob released a second video, where Doug continued to read messages of support to his brother. The pair spoke about the Kimmel show again, and read messages of support from San Francisco and Niagara Falls.

“I think we’re going to win” the next election, Rob Ford said. The same fan also asked Ford what his favourite food is. It’s veal parmesan with a caesar salad, pasta with hot peppers, and bread on the side.
