Spoof video puts Ford’s words in the mouth of a child

A new spoof video that pokes fun at Mayor Rob Ford’s long list of excuses during the heart of the crack video scandal is making the rounds on social media.

“Rob Ford’s Words in the Mouth of a Child” depicts a father grilling his young daughter about a “crack” in a door at the family home.

“There’s a new crack in the door here. Did you do that?” the father asks.

“I did not do the crack,” the defiant child answers.

“Well I have a video that says you did.”

“I did not do the crack…and as for the video I will not comment on a video that I have never seen or doesn’t exist,” the child responds, mimicking Ford’s elusive and aloof response to media questions last May about reports of a video depicting him smoking what appears to be crack.

The father continues to interrogate his daughter, who eventually says, “Dad, you aren’t asking the right questions,” before begrudgingly admitting that the “ball did the crack, probably in one of my sleepy stupors.”

The agitated child and frustrated father continue their verbal sparring, with the child eventually giving an insincere apology, saying, “I’ve made mistakes. I’m sorry. I’m not perfect.”

The video, uploaded by a user named central fiction, ends with bold white text stating, Our Children Are Listening.
