Crash causes gas leak & road closure in south Etobicoke

Toronto police are searching for the driver after a crash caused a gas leak and forced a road closure in south Etobicoke on Wednesday morning.
Police allege the driver slammed into a home on Royal York Road, south of Lake Shore Boulevard, around 3 a.m. The driver then fled the scene on foot.
The crash ruptured a gas line and Enbridge has been called in to fix the damage.
No neighbouring homes were evacuated but police did have to close down Royal York at Lake Shore for the investigation.
