Seafood products recalled due to mustard not declared on label

A Quebec-based company has recalled about a dozen of its seafood products because they contain mustard not listed on the label.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is warning anyone with a mustard allergy not to eat a number of spreads, mousses and smoked-salmon products made by Aliments Prolimer Inc. The agency said the food could cause serious and even life-threatening allergic reactions.

No one has reported any symptoms after eating any of the products.

The company discovered the problem and told the CFIA, which then launched an investigation. The agency said the products were sold in Ontario, Quebec, Manitoba, British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan and more products could be recalled.
