Man in hospital after downtown highrise fire

A man is in hospital with minor burns to his hands and smoke inhalation after a fire at a downtown highrise apartment.
Toronto firefighters knocked down the blaze at Alexander Street, near Yonge and Carlton streets, around 2:20 a.m. on Sunday.
Paramedics confirm one man was taken to hospital and he is expected to recover.
The fire began on the 14th floor.
It’s not yet known how the fire began or the cost of the damage.
