Value Village workers find large sum of money in pocket of donated pants

By The Canadian Press

LETHBRIDGE, Alta. – Someone who donated pants forgot a large sum of money in a pocket.

Police in Lethbridge, Alta., say staff at Value Village found the cash, but despite attempts, have failed to find the owner to return the cash.

Officers are asking for the public’s help to get the money back in the right hands, and are commending the store workers for being honest.

The owner will have to come up with a description of the pants and the exact amount of money, which police will only say is a large sum.

It’s the second time that workers at the store found money — in October, they found $1,130 in the pocket of a donated coat.

The owner was eventually found and the money returned.
