The province unveiled plans to manage the influx of people expected to visit the GTA during the 2015 Pan Am Games, including a plea to reduce traffic by 20 per cent with the help of 150 km of temporary HOV lanes. The lanes span the region, from downtown streets to parts of the 401, 407, QEW highways. But as Amanda Ferguson heard, not everyone is as optimistic as the province about the plan.

Toronto Mayor John Tory announced that the city is saying no to a line of credit from the province to help make up for an $86-million budget shortfall. He thanked the province for its offer and said they will take care of their own house.
