Ford partied in $2500 cabana at post-Oscar bash: report

Mayor Rob Ford partied Sunday night in Hollywood in a pool-side cabana with a price tag of about $2,500, according to website TMZ.com.

And, just like he’s known to do here in Toronto, he was caught handing out business cards and magnets emblazoned with his name.

“Not only did he throw down big money to party… he actually handed out Ford-themed commemorative magnets to his female admirers,” the website says.

Citing “pseudo-actress/socialite” Meredith Thomas, the website says he was at the W Hollywood for a post-Oscars party – where he was spotted in one of the swanky private cabana areas. The cabanas go for about $2,500, which includes alcohol, it added.

“Thomas says she asked Ford for a photo and he obliged — then handed her and her friend a Rob Ford Mayor magnet and a business card. Thomas says Rob asked her to stick around, but she declined.”

The mayor’s spokesman told 680News that Ford didn’t buy or have a cabana provided for him.

Ford is in Los Angeles with his brothers and some staff to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday evening – his first late-night appearance since the drug scandal broke last year.
