Reading to dogs might helps kids learn: study

Videographer Audra Brown visits researchers at Brock University who are studying a new technique to help kids learn to read: reading to dogs. The kids report that the nerves they sometimes feel when reading to humans melt away when the fluffy friends are introduced. And many kids say they want to read more since it also means some puppy time.

The concept started four years ago and has spread to 150 schools. For more information on the program, and how to bring it to Toronto schools, visit therapytails.ca.
