Ontario will provide up to $190 million to help municipalities pay for the cost of the December ice storm. The money will be divided among the 32 towns and cities which includes Toronto and GTA. Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly and City Manager Joe Pennachetti were pleased with the province’s help.
Open Streets coming to downtown Toronto in August
Bloor Street between Spadina and Parliament, and Yonge Street between Bloor and Queen will be no-car zones between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. on August 17 and on August 31.
