Hold-and-secure warnings have been lifted at three affected schools after a bank robbery near Yonge Street and Finch Avenue on Wednesday morning.
Willowdale Christian, École secondaire catholique Monseigneur-de-Charbonnel and Drewry Avenue Public School were all affected.
According to the Toronto District School Board website, when a school is placed under hold and secure, all movement in and out of the school is restricted. However, there is no immediate danger to students and staff.
A lock down is only used when the danger is inside the school or on school property.
The suspect was able to obtain an quantify of cash from a TD Bank at the corner of Yonge and Cummer Avenue around 8:15 a.m.
The suspect is male, Asian, and five-feet-nine-inches tall. He was wearing a black mask, jeans and a dark puffy jacket with writing on the chest.
