Two men were rushed to hospital after separate stabbings in Toronto overnight.

The first happened in an apartment on Lumsden Avenue, near Main Street and Danforth Avenue, just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday.

A 54-year-old man had been stabbed in the neck with a pair of scissors during a fight.

He has since been released from hospital. A suspect is in custody, facing charges of aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

Police were later called to an apartment building on Yorkwoods Gate, near Jane Street and Finch Avenue, around 3 a.m. Wednesday.

There, they found a man with a serious stab wound in his chest. He was rushed to hospital.

There’s no word on suspects.
