The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall notice for two El Monterey brand products because they could contain beef products from diseased animals.
The products involved are El Monterey Beef and Cheese Taquitos and El Monterey Ranchero Steam Tornados.
They were sold across Canada.
Ruiz Food Products of California says the products are not fit for human consumption.
The beef products were recalled by Rancho Feeding Corporation in California on Feb. 8 “because it processed diseased and unsound animals and carried out these activities without the benefit or full benefit of federal inspection.”
