3 Toronto residents charged in 16 break-ins in Halton Region

OAKVILLE – Halton Regional Police say three Toronto residents are facing charges in 16 break-and-enters at homes in Burlington, Oakville and Milton.

Police say the break-ins began in August 2011 and investigators began to see a pattern in August 2013 and identified suspects.

Detectives say they learned that the same suspects were under investigation by other police services in the Greater Toronto Area.

A co-operative investigation was begun involving several police services in early October, and the three suspects were arrested following a break-in in a jurisdiction outside Halton Region.

Police say some stolen property was recovered linked to break and enters in Halton.

Three people — ranging in age from 21 to 27 — are facing a total of 35 counts of break, enter and theft.
