‘Satanic’ sect offers tours of Rob Ford’s Etobicoke

A humorous faux-satanic sect is cashing in on the scandal surrounding Toronto Mayor Rob Ford by offering tours of his “hotspots.”

“I’m not entirely sure where the idea came from but when we really like something – I mean when we really likely something – we like to get behind it with a bus tour,” Morgan Wilkes, a pastor at the Cloven Path Ministries, told CityNews on Tuesday.

The Cloven Path Ministries will run its next bus outing on Sunday and according to its website, participants will see “all the infamous sites.”

That includes the “Alleged Crack House,” Rob Ford’s alma mater (the site refers to the mayor as “RoFo”), Douglas B. Ford Park (named after Ford’s father) and “The Shady Gas Station.”

Ford and his friend and occasional driver Alexander Lisi, who is facing extortion and marijuana trafficking  charges, were seen at the gas station in police surveillance photos.

“We feel he’s been unfairly persecuted, which I can relate to, being an Evangelical minister of Satanic – more aptly a prophet of Satan,” Wilkes said in a southern accent.

“We really identify with RoFo and his fantasies of lust and desire,” he added.  Ford has not contacted him, Wilkes said, but he is welcome on the tour.

It’s not the first comedy offering from the ministry. The Cloven Path Ministries website also offers a vial of Miracle Anointing Oil in its “Good and Chattles [sic]” section. The ministry promises that not only will it induce weight loss and hair growth, it can also cancel debt and increase gas mileage.
