BURLINGTON, Ont. – Halton police said charges are pending after a tractor-trailer rollover in Burlington on Monday night.
Emergency crews were still trying to contain a fuel leak Tuesday morning.
Police said Ministry of Environment officials have been called in as the fuel may have spilled in Sheldon Creek.
Harvester Road was closed from Appleby Line to Burloak Drive for several hours as crews work to contain the spill.
The truck, which was carrying gas and diesel fuel, rolled onto its side on Harvester, near Century Drive, at around 8:30 p.m., causing the large fuel spill.
The driver suffered minor injuries.
There has been no word on what caused the crash. Police said Tuesday they do not believe alcohol was a factor.
Anyone who witnessed the rollover is asked to contact Halton police at 905-825-4747 (ext. 5420).
