“It’s underhanded politics and it’s the farthest thing from transparent and accountable government” – Coun. Jaye Robinson about Friday night’s robocalls

Spending quite a bit of time working in China, I was always appalled at how the government really didn’t represent the people. They represented themselves. No citizen, nor any government official would dare criticize the Chinese Government. In fact, even government officials would find themselves in jail for making questionable comments about their own party. I always felt sorry for these people who live under this kind of control or authority. The mayor attacking anyone who has a difference of opinion (and DO NOT kid yourself, this is NOT the first time, by a long shot) is showing that he doesn’t respect democracy or freedom of speech. This alarms me much more than any of his other antics, and I pray we’ll have someone who can continue a fiscally responsible agenda and also just be a responsible mayor. I don’t think it’s Olivia Chow, but I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again… I DO think it’s John Tory.
