MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – A man in his 30′s has serious injuries while another person received minor injuries in a crash on the eastbound 401 near Mavis Road.
The crash happened around 3:30 Friday afternoon, forcing the closure of three of the six eastbound lanes.
“Three vehicles involved – two cars and a truck,” OPP Sergeant Dave Woodford told 680News. “It went through the cement barrier. The SUV rolled, and that’s the driver that went to hospital.”
The man suffered serious chest and arm injuries, and had to be airlifted to hospital by Ornge.
The tractor trailer driver suffered minor injuries, while two women in the third vehicle were unhurt.
Several eastbound lanes of the 401 east of Mavis were closed for the investigation.
