Toronto police rescue kitten from a garbage can

Toronto police rescued a kitten from a garbage can near Bathurst Street and St. Clair Avenue on Tuesday morning and an officer has already adopted it.

“As soon as I got a good look at him I said that if someone hadn’t claimed him already, I’d happily take him home,” Const. Shawn Kinghorn told CityNews.

“I cleared it with my daughter first,” he added.

He hasn’t decided on a name yet but is considering Django.
