TORONTO – Toronto police have released a composite sketch of a suspect following a sexual assault early Sunday morning in the city’s west-end.
Around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, a 21-year-old woman exited a streetcar at Augusta Avenue and College Street and was followed by a man, police say.
Police say the woman was sexually assaulted in a parkette in the Orde and McCaul streets area.
The suspect identified himself as “James,” police said in an update Tuesday.
Police described the suspect as black, 30 to 40 years old, approximately five-foot-seven-inches tall with an average build, brown eyes and shortly curly black hair. He had pock-marked areas along his jaw line, dark stubble and a hair patch on his chin which curled slightly under his chin.
He was last seen wearing a turquoise track jacket with a short stand up collar, two white stripes extending from collar to cuff on both arms, zippered front closure, dark T-shirt, possibly jeans, brown Birkenstock-type sandals and dirty socks.
