Dump truck fire closes some southbound lanes on Hwy. 400

TORONTO – A dump truck fire on southbound lanes of Highway 400 has caused some serious traffic headaches for drivers.

Lanes of the highway are closed from Aurora Rd. to King Rd.

The fire started at around 6 o’clock Friday, but has since been extinguished.

Clean up crews are on scene and a heavy tow truck is there too.

Once the fuel is clean up the Ministry of Transportation will have to determine the damage to the highway and then repairs will be made if needed.

Crews are expected to remain on the scene for several more hours.
