TORONTO – A 15-year-old boy who was shot in the Jane-Finch area last month has died of his injuries, Toronto police say.
Police were called for shots fired at Yorkwoods Plaza around 10 p.m. on July 28.
The teenager was in the plaza parking lot when he was approached by a vehicle with two occupants and shot several times, investigators say.
At the time, police said he was expected to recover but the teenager passed away Tuesday in hospital.
Police have not released the identity of the victim.
Investigators believe there are numerous witnesses and are urging them to come forward.
