Heavy ‘Facebook-ing’ linked to feeling depressed

A new study has found a link between spending time on Facebook and feeling depressed.

University of Michigan researchers found heavy Facebook users rely on feedback in the form of “likes” on their posts — if they don’t receive any, they can get upset.

Others tend to get depressed looking through the happy pictures posted by their Facebook friends.

The complete findings are published in the Public Library of Science Journal One.
