Bathurst and Lake Shore could soon look very different, if Loblaw has its way.
The grocery giant wants to keep the facade of its warehouse at that intersection, but add a new grocery store and two condo towers, one 37 storeys high, the other 41 storeys high.
Toronto city councillor Adam Vaughan told The National Post that he’s pleased a grocery store could soon be in the area, but the height of the towers could hold up the project.
The buildings would house over 800 units, in an area already full of condos.
A report on the project will go to community council this fall, with public consultations planned shortly after.
