Toronto police’s ‘positive ticketing’ recognizes public good deeds

Toronto police are trying to spread some goodwill with something they’re calling “positive ticketing.”
Starting Wednesday in Scarborough, police will recognize members of the public who they find doing a good deed, helping in an investigation or coming to the aid of a fellow citizen.
Police say they are reinforcing the importance of doing good by giving out “positive tickets.”
Attached to each ticket are coupons for for local restaurants.
