TORONTO – Toronto police are trying to spread some goodwill with something they’re calling “positive ticketing.”

Starting Wednesday in Scarborough, police will recognize members of the public who they find doing a good deed, helping in an investigation or coming to the aid of a fellow citizen.

Police say they are reinforcing the importance of doing good by giving out “positive ticket.”

Attached to each ticket are coupons for for local restaurants.
