Jury ends 1st day of deliberations in murder case against Rockefeller impostor in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – A jury deliberating in the murder case against a notorious Rockefeller impostor has gone home for the day without reaching a verdict.

The six men and six women spent a half-day behind closed doors on Tuesday after the case was placed in their hands.

They heard final remarks from a prosecutor who implored them to find the defendant guilty of the cold-case crime.

Christian Gerhartsreiter is charged with killing a California man 28 years ago. The victim’s bones were found during excavation at a San Marino home where the defendant lived during that time.

Jurors were to resume their talks on Wednesday.
