Car catches fire after hitting concrete barrier on Highway 401 in Etobicoke

TORONTO, Ont. – A woman is in hospital after being seriously hurt in a crash on Highway 401 in Etobicoke early Sunday morning.
Around 3:30 a.m., a car hit a concrete barrier in the eastbound express lanes near Dixon Road and caught fire.
The woman was taken to Sunnybrook hospital in serious condition.
It’s believed the other two occupants had only minor injuries.
Anyone who may have been present for the accident is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
