Four charged after counterfeit-clothing investigation

Four people have been charged after police raided stores in the Toronto area which they allege were selling fake designer clothes.
Durham Region Police say the investigation started in February at an Oshawa store they say was selling counterfeit brand-name merchandise.
They say the probe then led them to search a Toronto store as well as a Pickering home of the alleged owners of the businesses.
Investigators say they seized clothes, shoes and accessories worth $750,000 along with alleged evidence of the manufacturing of counterfeit clothing.
Gulnaz Naz, 52, and Tahir Qureshi, 60, both of Pickering, each face five charges including fraud over $5,000 and trafficking in property obtained by crime.
Amair Ali, 25, and Asim Ali, 26, face similar charges.
Sgt. Nancy van Rooy says the four are scheduled to appear in Oshawa court on April 15.
