OTTAWA – Conservative MPs are fanning out across the country to sell the federal budget, which was unveiled late-afternoon Thursday.
That includes Finance Minister Jim Flaherty, who will scheduled to speak Friday afternoon to the Vancouver Board of Trade.
MPs will explain how the budget will affect policy.
Flaherty introduced a stay-the-course budget with a fairly large wish list of goals and programs, including a balance budget target for 2015.
However, economists are quick to point out a lot needs to go right, including steady economic growth between now and then.
The centrepiece of the document is a revamped training plan aimed at helping Canadian workers get the skills that are in demand.
