TORONTO, Ont. – Two Toronto police officers sustained minor injuries after being struck by a vehicle during a foot pursuit Tuesday afternoon.
The officers were pursuing suspects in connection to a robbery investigation when they were struck by a vehicle near Weston Road and Finch Avenue West around 5 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle is not going to be charged, police said.
One officer was taken to hospital with minor back injuries. A second officer sustained minor leg injuries.
Three suspects are in custody in connection to the robbery investigation.
