Special needs teacher faces charges of assault, sexual assault

TORONTO, Ont. – A special needs teacher is facing sexual assault and assault charges involving two 12-year-old boys, according to Toronto police.
Police allege that between September 2012 and March 7, a 12-year-old boy was sexually assaulted at a home near Markham Road and Sheppard Avenue East.
During the same time period, police allege another 12-year-old boy was assaulted at the same home.
Neither of the boys were special needs students, according to a CityNews report.
Kearsley Peters, 56, of Toronto, is charged with sexual assault, sexual exploitation, sexual interference and assault.
The accused was a teacher at White Haven Junior Public School, police said.
Police believe there may be more victims.
