TORONTO – The TTC took its new streetcar for another test ride, Friday.
It was day two of testing for the new streetcars from Bombardier.
The new streetcar went from the Hillcrest TTC facility to the Exhibition loop and back.

TTC CEO Andy Byford was on hand Friday morning as the low-floor streetcar made its way along Bathurst.
Testing will continue over the next few months and the new cars will start running on the Spadina line early next year.
The new streetcars will offer passengers more space, a low floor entrance, and air conditioning.

Why does it need almost a year of testing before these new trams can be put in service?
nice look but the main problem with streetcars these days is how slow they are. I can walk down Queen quicker than a street car moves.
Streetcars are slow when the cars get in the way, especially those turning left in a left turn prohibited intersection. Would like to see them open it up when they test it out on the Queensway.
Streetcars like these are running in Europe over 15 yrs
